Dear all,

Sorry for long wait from last report. Here is the new one:

Medication:
* I took LaiLai to NTU vet to check his sudden blindness. They did a complete test to him and couldn't find any damage on his eyes but infection. So they assumed it might be an eye infection caused by the Ehrlichiosis. They gave me some eye-drops for him and prescription. I showed it to Dr. Yang and he said LaiLai's case is really rare if it does caused by the Ehrlichiosis. We give him the eye-drops 3 times a day and the medicine. His eyes are getting much better. We will do the treatment for one more week and send him back to NTU vet and check. We also found that he can "Sit" and "Shake hands". He is such a good boy. (By the way.....the new intern helped us to visit the NTU vet and we didn't have to pay anything. The complete test can cost 1500NT!!)

* Judy also went to NTU vet to do the acupuncture. She was so calm there. She supposed to go there again this week but missed the time. So she will do that again next week (Again~ It's free~)

* We rescued 2 dogs outside of our shelter who got caught by gin traps. One is on the dog's leg and the other one is on the mouth. Luckily we got some help from a biker in the park and the dog was not injured. So we let it go immediately. Then we found the second one who also got tumour on his back. So we took him to the vet to remove the tumour and took off the trap. The 2nd one, Brian has been released too and live in our neighbourhood happily.

* We got a phone call from YiLan asking for help to catch a dog whose collar has cut through his neck badly. Ryan and Sean went but couldn't catch it so left the trap there. Few days later we got a phone call again and we got the dog, Dofu (the wound was so bad and stink.....that's where his name from). He is at the vet now and will have a surgery later. The people who asked us for help donate 2000 NT to us and will pay for his neuter cost. Very nice people.

* I took Casper to the vet after he had some problem of pooing and no eating. Dr. Yang found a tumour in his body before. But when I send him back, the vet said his tumour grew really fast. So he stayed at the vet but died next day. Bless him~

Dog and Cat

* Scooter (not the Scooter we have in our holding centre) is back to our shelter from his foster home. But his foster parents Kevin and Jessica are thinking to take him back to the US Smile

* Curly and George the cats will be back from their tryout. Sad

* Roobarb is back from his tryout too Sad The family said they are not ready for having a dog yet. But they will come to walk him every week and maybe take him home for the weekend.

* Good News!!!! A friend of Mayumi, Dana, took 2 puppies home!!!! The family love them. They will adopt them after their X'mas trip in state. Hooray~

* Another good news~ Toga is on her try-out. A nice couple who live in YM mountain took her home on 9th Dec. They already called and said Toga is doing great and she slept next to the bed. Bless her Smile

Office

* We have a new part-time staff, Ryan. He has done a great job to our office, storage room and kitchen. Now we have a proper office where people can sit down. (Many thanks to Liza, Aaron, Sheila and the volunteers who helped.)

I think that's all for now. There are still something need to let you know. But I will leave some for our next report. Thank you for your patience to read this long report Smile

Have a nice week, everyone~

Brandy

Hi Brandy,
thank you for your report,
Can you also put the story you wrote about rescus on the file "List of dogs in our care"(please see the attachment),
you can copy and paste on the file every time you wrote the story of recus a new dog,
I will print the update file for event when you or Rita mail to me,
it's really help us to get more sponsor,
Most people will sponsor a dog or cat after read the file.
because they will understand AT is doing many thing for stray and many dogs need help.
You, Rita, Sean and Ryan are really do a great job, so let people and volunteer know these.
So please add it to the list.
Thank you~

Zoe
